New Orleans Cemeteries are a visible marker of this city. Most of the graves are above ground in vaults making them especially beautiful to walk around. I’ve heard that it’s because of the water tables but Wikipedia repudiates that as folklore claiming the real reason is spanish and french tradition. Regardless, this painting I did in the cemetery yesterday shows none of that (-:
