If I’m going to be writing stories – which I want to – I need to be sure I can create convincing and consistent characters. These are all people I saw today around the SoHo area.

I only got one of this guy but he was a character all by himself. Italian man who said he’d been living in the neighborhood for 50 years. Very outgoing.

I drew this one and then felt I didn’t capture the intensity of his stare so I tried again:
